Herod’s Palace

Herod’s Palace was located in Caesarea Maritima. The full-scale model is a representation of the palace. Herod built this palace in honor of Caesar Augustus and would include a temple at the hill of the harbor honoring the emperor. It would later be under Roman control after Herod’s death. The apostle Paul would later be imprisoned for two years at this location. Below is an image of what part of the palace looks like today:
